Very nice location, unfortunately poorly implemented and sometimes higher prices than in the city. More could be made of it. Supplement 10/2020 We were in the Alte Wache again, unfortunately nothing has improved, we can only give a grade of 4 for price / performance.

Well so-so, waited 20 minutes for drinks outdoors. Then get the Aperol Spritz without ice cubes because the ice machine is defective. I would have told the guest beforehand. What should I think of that? Don't come any more.

The quality of the food is good, all of the service is polite and attentive. Large terraces. Plenty of parking spaces available.

Today on the daily menu the Swabian national dish: lentils, spaetzle and string sausages. Outstanding!

Very nice ambience, nice waiters and delicious food! Also very suitable for groups, it's just a bit noisy, but that's not a problem.

The outside area is nicely designed and there are enough parking spaces. Food was good but more standard than exceptional. The service seemed overwhelmed and became quite unfriendly and surly in the evening

We always drink our ice cream parlor here in summer. Very good and the garden restaurant is very inviting. I can only recommend it.

Under a new operator, it's not as good as it used to be for a long time! Some of the staff spoke German very badly and made a very insecure and unprofessional impression. Too long waiting times and nobody comes in between if you want something. Who only comes by waving and calling. Food rather average and then really too expensive! Absolutely NO COMPARISON to the previous operator ... Pity!

The Alte Wache is located directly on the landscape steps of the Scharnhausen Park and is a historical building. At that time it served as the guard building of the former air hostess. In summer you can sit here in the very large beer garden or on the terrace with a view of the landscape steps. The interior is modern and comfortably furnished. The food is good home cooking. The service is very friendly and quick. The corona measures are largely observed. The restaurant is suitable for wheelchair users, but the toilets can only be reached via a long, steep staircase. Went to the old watch yesterday. The service was great, the whole staff was very friendly despite the obvious understaffing and full terrace. Even for a large group of people who are not allowed with Corona in the current time. Have tables and chairs been reorganized so that you could sit halfway together. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio for the dishes was not so good, I had a cake that was really delicious, but unfortunately very narrow for the price. It is a shame that you can not classify what the stars are, I would give 5 stars alone to the service.

First of all, the 4 stars given are for yesterday's service team 👍 Despite the full outdoor area, the wishes of the guests were implemented without hesitation. Reserved tables were restructured and new seats created. Regular customers and their orders were warmly remembered and a Schertzle was always with them 😊 good, knowledgeable staff should not be spared. The homemade lemonade was very tasty, unfortunately the simple fried potatoes left something to be desired.

Food okay, service on Sunday overwhelmed, we waited for the coffee for half an hour and only when we asked again did it finally come. The restaurant wasn't really that crowded ... 🤷🏻‍♀️ Too bad the location is very nice, great location, with outdoor seating ...

Unfortunately we were disappointed today. Service didn't work well and food was rather mediocre. And 6.50 euros for a cocktail 0.2 is a bit expensive ... Still just a nice location, great outside area and we actually know it differently ... let's see, we will try it again on occasion.

What happened to the old watch? We were at the Alte Wache about 2 weeks ago but were very disappointed. Despite a reservation a few days earlier, there was no longer any shade. The new tenant was rude to his staff. That shouldn't happen in front of guests. Although it is a similar card as before the tenant change, the food tastes different and has not been as good for a long time. The cooks have probably gone too. The schnitzel is no longer of the quality it was and you almost had to look for the potato salad and cucumber salad. The elderberry spritzer is also not what it used to be. What a pity. We always enjoyed coming here.

We had reserved a table for 10 people. When we arrived nothing was prepared and we should sit in the blazing sun at 30 degrees. There were many umbrella stands but no umbrellas. Unfortunately, there is not (?) Even on request. For not eating for just 5 € and expecting a bit came the worst possible performance. The service, the food and the drinks were also long in coming. Many thanks. Not again.

Now only bad ...... 19 € for a schnitzel with french fries and a salad, I actually expect a little something. Waiting time for drinks 30 min. And another 30 min. for the food. To top it off, another 30 minutes. pay for that. The fries were cold and greasy, The schnitzel was neutral in taste and the salad was drowned in the dressing. In addition, the staff was totally overwhelmed although the tables are reduced (Corona) and not even all occupied. The neighboring tables almost all complained when paying. (I've never seen it like this in a restaurant) I've already experienced some ups and downs in the Alte Wache. But that!? Please close again

Spätzle was burnt and taste was below average. Do not recommend if you are looking for good german food.

Very friendly service. Great Southern Germany food and beer. Great atmosphere.

Good location in a calm area. Food is good but there is nothing special I can mention or recommend about it.

This has to be my favorite restaurant in Ostfildern. Service is amazing, food is awesome, the place is always impeccably clean. I'll go there anytime I go to Stuttgart or its surrounding towns, which is quite often. Oh, and they have a mean créme brulee. A must if you visit!

Elegant but casual restaurant, in a nice sunny location. Traditional tasty meals served within a sgort waiting time. A lot of sitting placess (make sure to make yor reservation for the outsode, if it is a sunny day...). Staff very efficient and friendly. The walking stairs nearby are useful for a walk after your meal. 8
